Aspen Uphill Symposium- December 6-9, 2018
Do you believe in earning your turns? Does your company strive to make products worthy of the uphill athletes who use them every day? Do you work in an industry where "uphilling" is a normal occurrence? Do your clients seek self-powered adventure and recreation in their travel plans?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the 2nd Annual Aspen Uphill Symposium is for you and your business. The City of Aspen strongly believes in and supports the uphill industry- so much so that we have taken the initiative to collaborate with uphill industry leaders to survey uphill athletes in a detailed questionnaire about their recreation preferences, demographics, likes, dislikes, purchasing habits and much, much more. The data paints the most complete portrait of the uphill enthusiast.
The City of Aspen is assembling industry leading manufacturers, retailers, athletes, and advocates to take an in-depth dive into these survey results, as well as creating a one-of-a-kind peer-to-peer networking opportunity for all sectors of the uphill economy. The 2nd Uphill Symposium will strengthen the global uphill community and demonstrate why Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley sit at the headwaters of the growing uphill industry.
There will be discussions, experts in their field sharing information, tours, and because it’s Aspen, time for on mountain activities!
Space is limited and is filling up fast. Don’t let this opportunity to be in on the leading research and to network with peers in the uphill industry slip by. There will also be an opportunity to show off your latest and greatest equipment.
The early-bird price is $500 (through 10/31/18) which includes:
- Three nights lodging at the St. Regis Aspen
- Social hour on Thursday night
- Dinner on Thursday night
- Lunch on Friday
- Breakfast Saturday
- Data presentation and discussion
Additionally, you can spend your Saturday night hiking Aspen Mountain and support the Chris Klug Foundation in its lifesaving work educating and raising awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation. This is the 12th annual Summit for Life Uphill race! Participants will use their preferred mode of non-motorized uphill transportation - snowshoes, skins, or cleats - to reach the summit of Aspen Mountain and a lively party at the Sundeck. Recreational hikers and competitive racers alike are welcome to participate, or choose the "Ride for Life" up the Silver Queen Gondola to cheer hikers at the finish line and enjoy the party at the top.
Five lucky symposium participants will win an entry to this year's fun event. For those not wishing to rely on luck, you can secure your bib now by visiting the Summit for Life registration page.
