Meet the Team! The City of Aspen Human Resources' team is comprised of a group of individuals dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and a rewarding work environment.
Alissa Farrell, Interim Assistant City Manager / Director of Human Resources
Alissa brings over 20 years of experience in human resources roles from working in non-profits, governments, to healthcare organizations. She holds a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on organizational performance management, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and a SHRM-SCP certification. Additionally, she is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified, is a Certified Everything DiSC Workplace Facilitator and has a Korn Ferry Leadship Architect certificate. Away from the office, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, running and traveling with her family.
Courtney DeVito, Interim Deputy Director of Human Resources
Courtney joined the City of Aspen HR team as the Risk Analyst in the Fall of 2012. She comes to the City with a 10 year HR background in the ski industry having specialized in Worker's Compensation, Safety Analysis, Recruiting, Orientation/Safety Trainings and Employee Benefits. When not conducting safety training or bringing employees back to work post-injury, Courtney can be found hiking, biking, running, backcountry skiing with her husband and dog and spending time with her son/daughter.
Jessica Roberts, Compensation & Benefits Manager
Jessica holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology; along with actively working on obtaining her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Jessica is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and World at Work. Prior to the City, Jessica worked in the realm of healthcare for many years. In her free time, Jessica can be found skiing or hiking with her kids, and enjoying life in the mountains.
Andrea Laube, Benefits & Well-being Administrator
Andrea is a certified Health Coach, Registered Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Master Facilitator, Active Learning Specialist and Employee Wellness expert. She is also a certified teacher in elementary and special education. She has facilitated trainings around the state on mindfulness, movement, nutrition and energy management to over 2,500 staff members and 1,000 students. Utilizing best practices and a holistic approach to support employee physical, social, emotional, spiritual and financial well-being, her expertise lies in helping organizations identify areas of need and developing customized supports to improve employee benefits, health and well-being, as well as increase retention and overall job satisfaction. Outside of the office, you’ll find Andrea out in nature- snowboarding, cycling, hiking, running or camping with her husband and pups!
Andrea Diedesch, Human Resources Business Partner
Andrea joined the City of Aspen Human Resources team in April of 2016. Andrea graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Business Management and has five years experience in Human Resources. In her free time Andrea enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, and camping.
