Aspen Strong was founded on the basis of HIKE HOPE HEAL to connect our community and promote good mental hygiene. Our community comes together each year to give a voice to mental health in the Roaring Fork Valley. Participants and volunteers take place in a morning yoga session and then hike up Smuggler Mountain.

In conjunction with the Wheeler Opera House Aspen Mountain Film Festival and the Colorado premiere of the film, Like Harvey Like Son, the City of Aspen is sponsoring a two-mile fun run with the film’s subject, Harvey Lewis. The race will begin and finish at Koch Park and will follow the Midland Trail and complete a loop through the Marolt Open Space. The event is free and open to the public.

The Grand Traverse Mountain Run is a point-to-point ultra marathon from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado. The course follows the route of the Grand Traverse Backcountry Ski race. In total, runners travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountains with over 6,000' of elevation gain. The race finishes at Ajax Park in Aspen.
The Grand Traverse Mountain Bike is no ordinary mountain bike race. It is a point-to-point from Aspen to Crested Butte, Colorado. In total, bikers travel 40 miles across the Elk Mountains with over 7,800' of elevation gain. The course starts with a 3000' ascent up Aspen Mountain before continuing deep into the Elk Mountains.
