Owl Creek Chase 21K Nordic Ski Race February 10, 2019
The Owl Creek Chase has been one of Colorado’s premier cross-country ski races since 1985. The challenging course from Snowmass Village to the Aspen Cross Country Center presents the very best that Colorado skiing has to offer: tough climbs, scenic views, and thrilling descents - plus it is supported with aid stations along the way.
Registration Fee schedule: $45 today til 1/30/19 | $55 2/1/19 to 2/08/19 | $60 until Race Day.
Prize money awarded for classic race top finishers - 1st $150, 2nd $100,3rd $50.
The Owl Creek Chase Tour 15K (free) - a scenic point to point Nordic tour starting at 10 am at Two Creeks and ending at the Aspen Cross Country Center. This is the only time that you can ski the entire Owl Creek Chase route without taking your skis off at the road crossings! There is a suggested donation of $25 to the Aspen / Snowmass Nordic Council. You must register for the free tour as well as the race, click here.

Due to increased Nordic skier traffic during the Owl Creek Chase event, a small portion of Owl Creek Road between Burnt Mountain Circle and Two Creeks Drive will be closed to through traffic from 9:00-10:00am on February 10. Those needing access to Two Creeks Ski area from Snowmass Village should take Brush Creek Road through the roundabout to Highline Road. To access the Snowmass Village Mall from Owl Creek Road, please take Highline Road through the roundabout to Brush Creek. Town of Snowmass Village Police barricades will be in place at the road closure locations.
