NOTICE TO CITIZENS
The City Council of the City of Aspen has approved the submission to the Cityelectorate one tax question at the November 5, 2019, coordinated municipal election.Amendment One (1992) to the Colorado Constitution requires a notice of the election tobe mailed to all registered voters with certain information about the election and financialimplications of the ballot questions. Part of the notice to be sent to electors must includesummaries of written comments, up to 500 words each, one for and one against theproposal, filed with the election officer by 45 days before the election.
The City hereby solicits written comments for and against the questions listed below.Please address your comments to the City Clerk, 130 S. Galena Street, Aspen, CO 81611 orvia email to email@example.com. Only comments filed by persons eligible tovote in the city will be summarized in the ballot notice. To be summarized in the ballotissue notice, the comments shall address these specific ballot issues and shall include asignature and an address where the signor is registered to vote. Written comments mustbe received no later than Friday September 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

WITHOUT IMPOSING ANY NEW TAX OR INCREASING ANY TAX RATE, MAY THECITY OF ASPEN KEEP ALL REVENUES (INCLUDING THOSE IN EXCESS OF THEINITIAL REVENUE ESTIMATE) FROM THE NOVEMBER 2017 VOTER-APPROVEDTOBACCO RELATED PRODUCTS SALES TAX (BALLOT ISSUE 2B), AND CONTINUETO COLLECT THE TAX AT THE PREVIOUSLY DEFINED RATE, AND SPEND ALLREVENUES COLLECTED FOR THE PURPOSES AS APPROVED BY VOTERS,INCLUDING HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, TOBACCO-RELATED HEALTH ISSUES,AND ADDICTION AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION AND MITIGATION?
