City of Aspen Parks Department Offers Clean-Up Help for Downed Trees
Aspen, CO - June 9, 2020 – A June storm characterized by heavy snow and precipitation caused many downed trees and limbs throughout Aspen. The City of Aspen Parks and Open Space Department wants residents to know that staff will assist in limited clean-up efforts.
Residents with downed limbs on their properties can place all the storm debris within five feet of the curb and City staff will pick-up and chip the tree matter, by early next week. If the limbs are too large for residents to move themselves, they are encouraged to call a local tree service to perform the work. Please note the City will only pick-up storm debris, not yard waste.
If a hazardous tree is in the right-of-way by a homeowner’s property and needs to be assessed, please notify the Parks and Open Space Department at 920-5120.
Currently, Parks and Open Space crews are working diligently to clear downed trees and limbs blocking streets, sidewalks, trails, and parks.
