Aspen Saturday Market Begins June 20Social Distancing and Crowd Regulation Are EssentialThe City of Aspen’s Saturday Market opens to the public on June 20 with operating hours of 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. weekly. Social distancing and crowd regulation will be a central feature of the Market’s operations. Entrances and exits will be established on Hyman Ave. and Galena St. and Hopkins Ave. and Galena St. Fifty individuals will be allowed on each street at time. Staff will be stationed at entrances and exits regulating the crowd. All patrons are asked to social distance, to wear a mask at all times, and to leave pets at home.A total of 35 vendors will be offering agricultural items and fresh baked goods in compliance with Pitkin County Public Health Orders.Customers are asked to shop efficiently and limit socializing in order to accommodate as many people as possible within the hours of Market operations.Vendors will accept cash and credit card.The City of Aspen will reassess expanding the market if Pitkin County Health Orders are amended over the summer.The Market is scheduled to run through September 5, but that date is dependent on health and safety in the community.###
