City of Aspen Non-Essential Services Closed Over the Holidays  

Essential services will remain in operation

Aspen, Colorado – December 23, 2020 – In celebration of the upcoming holidays, the City of Aspen will close many city facilities and suspend some virtual services from Thursday, December 24 – Sunday, December 27, 2020, and Thursday, December 31, 2020 - Sunday, January 3, 2021.

City facilities that will be closed include the following non-essential service buildings: 

  • City Hall
  • Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA)
  • Wheeler Opera House 

Essential services remain in effect during the holiday and include services provided by police, streets, parks, and utilities. 

The City of Aspen Recreation Center (ARC) and the Red Brick Recreation Center will close at 1 p.m. on December 24, 2020 and will remain closed until December 26, 2020.
