Special Event Insurance & Liability

  1. Insurance Requirements
    Liability insurance coverage must be provided for Special Events hosted within City limits and the City of Aspen must be listed as an additional insured. If your event includes alcohol, a minimum liquor liability coverage of $1,000,000.00 must also be included. Commercial general liability insurance is required in the following minimum amounts: $1,000,000 each occurrence; $2,000,000 aggregate
  2. Insurance Certificate
    At least one week prior to the event, a certificate of insurance must be submitted. The certificate shall name the City of Aspen as an additional insured (for example: "City of Aspen, its officers, employees and agents" 130 S. Galena Street, Aspen, CO 81611) Coverage must be maintained for the duration of the event including set up and dismantle dates. Please upload your insurance certificate below for approval.
