In its 48th year, the MotherLode Volleyball tournament remains one of North America's largest and most popular beach volleyball events. Event is free and open to the public. Anticipate upwards to 300 spectators per day. Vendors located only at Koch Lumber Park (Main Championship Courts). 6 staff and 3 volunteers. Amplified music and live public-address system at each venue.
September 4, 2021 - September 5, 2021 @ Ajax Park
his is the 7th Annual Grand Traverse Mountain Run & Bike, running and riding approximately 38 miles between Aspen and Crested Butte. On Saturday, Sept. 4, the run begins at 6:00am in Downtown Crested Butte, anticipating runners to finish in Aspen’s Ajax Park between 10:00am – 6:00pm, podium ceremony is at 3:00pm. Anticipate up to 350 participants. An inflatable "finish arch" will be erected in this area, a small vendor expo, comprised of 5 to 10 sponsor tents (10` x 10` - pop up`s), and a free BBQ for racers, beer garden, amplified music and announcer.
On Sunday, September 5th the Mountain Bike Ride begins at 7:00am leaving from Ajax Park and finishing at the base area of Crested Mountain Resort. Anticipate 100-150 participants. Street closure on Ute Ave requested from 6:55a-7:05a

10th Annual World Vision Aspen Invitational Bike Ride raises money to provide bikes and clean drinking water to people in Zambia. This year’s event will host approx. 25 cyclists and 75 picnic attendees.

2021will mark the 23rd season of the Aspen Saturday Market. The market offers Colorado grown produce, crafts, live music and various prepared food items. Attendance is free and open to the public with approximately 2000-5000 attendees on a flow basis each Saturday.
